Chivalry

He takes his coat off his back.. 
To lay at her feet.. 
Her new shoes needn't see..
The slush in the street.
He stops when he notices..
Someone in need..
He doesn't ponder or pause..
That to me is chivalry.
He doesn't concede.. 
To the irreverent elite..
He doesn't just speak..
He teaches through deed.
So if you ask me 
What this reckless world needs
Is a knight with no steed..
Just a bit more chivalry.
