Once upon a time when time had meaning
Back before the world had a little less reason
There stood upon a stage an abrasive demon
That tried to tell the world there wasn't love to believe in
He spake of only hate and had the crowd left seething
It'd only take a couple days before the soldiers were bleeding
And the letters from the base sent to the wives for grieving
And yet we wait to debate instead of doing some cleaning
Maybe the Shade was a little bit crazy to think of this world as a beautiful place
He speaks of a day when all the human race
Sees beyond the hate and embrace their making
Take to the streets to see the clouds are breaking
The weights of the world become a little less straining
We open our eyes to see our lives are changing
Pry back the vice of our lies and break free
Hypocracy
Intrigue
Democracy
Decieved
When I look upon the face of the Grace that made me
And take my place amoung the wraiths to see the change my wake leaves
I want to say that my days were free from pain and hate
Be unaffected by the haters who complain and rage
Look beyond the haze that forbade my waking
See all the victims of the mind as simply lives worth saving
Look upon the base and the profane as wasting
And take the reins of the fate that the Savior gave me
